Manchester United were linked with Croatian international and Juventus star Mario Mandzukic but unfortunately, they were not able to sign him this summer.
Now, the veteran center forward is once again in the lime light and reports suggest that he could decide to sign for Manchester United in January.
Earlier this month, Lukaku was heavily linked with a move to Juventus and The Mail reported that the Red Devils agreed personal terms with the £15million-rated Mandzukic.
However, Lukaku ended up signing for Inter Milan and Mandzukic is still with the Old Lady.
According to recent reports (Gianluca Di Marzio), Paris Saint-Germain moved in with an offer to hire his services but the 33-year-old goalscorer opted to turn down the move to the French champions.
It is stated that Mandzukic will consider his future in the January transfer window and could decide to move to China or Manchester United, if the Red Devils return to get his signing done (Gianluca Di Marzio).
In the last campaign, the veteran started 30 games in all competitions for the Bianconeri and directly contributed in 17 goals (10 goals and 7 assists).
He is a highly experienced striker, who has won all the domestic trophies in Germany with Bayern Munich and in Italy with Juve. Not to forget, in 2013, he scored in the final to help Bayern win their 5th European Cup. He also scored in the Champions League final of 2017 but Real Madrid comprehensively defeated Juventus 4-1.
Mandzukic was a key member of the Croatian international squad that earned the silver medal in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
With Lukaku gone and Martial injured, United do lack quality and depth in their strike-force. In your view, should Solskjaer opt to lure Mandzukic in January?
