£69million forward “would like to” sign for Manchester United – Reporter

Lyon and France striker Moussa Dembele

Manchester United need to strengthen their strike-force in the January transfer window after selling and not replacing Romelu Lukaku in the summer.

The Red Devils have been linked with French international Moussa Dembele and lately a well-known Sky Sports reporter have made interested comments about the Lyon star.

Transfer: Man Utd have agreed £99,000-a-week terms to sign attacker – Report

Speaking to the Transfer Window Show (Sky Sports), Kaveh Solhekol claimed that Man Utd are interested in the former Celtic striker, who would like to move to the Old Trafford club. He said:

“There’s a couple of players they are looking at: one is Moussa Dembele at Lyon. He would like to come to England but the problem is Lyon don’t want to sell him this month. That is going to be a difficult deal to do, although I think he would like to play for Manchester United.”

Back in October, The Daily Record made a similar claim and reported that the 23-year-old, who is valued at around 80 million euros (£69million) by Lyon, is keen on signing for Manchester United.

Dembele proved his talent in the Championship with Fulham before moving to Scotalnd, where he won every major prize in the country with Scotland.

He has been impressive for Lyon as well. In the current campaign, so far, the Frenchman has netted 11 goals in 17 Ligue 1 starts. Last weekend, he scored the decisive goal against Bordeaux to earn all three points for his team.

United lack firepower and should not wait for the summer to strengthen the team. In your view, who should United sign to improve their strike-force?

  1. If we’re buying players, let’s buy and focus on the EPL. No time to waste again.
We need to buy quality players to challenge the likes of Liverpool, Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, etc.
We need to regain our lost glory.
If it requires sacking Ole Gunner and get an experienced coach.
I don’t why we afraid to buy good players like other big teams in Europe?

  2. At one moment, I have never seen a team performing with average young players like the ones we have under ole.
OGS has never learnt anything from his boss(Ferguson) we have good squad but the team is generally young and inexperienced to win big games if it comes to top clubs like Barcelona, Madrid, Liverpool, man c.
I pray to OGS to revisit his past glory of the squad and buy a leave…
    Then, we shall smile again.

  3. We need to build a very strong and quality team. We lack the depth and quality that our main rivals have. I still don’t understand the policy of wanting to experiment and buy only junior English player. Man United id a big time for such experiments and policy instead of going for proven and acclaimed ball players
