£70million forward eager to secure Manchester United move – Report

Lyon and France striker Moussa Dembele

Manchester United have had a torrid start to the season and they need major reinforcements in the winter transfer window. Therefore, they are already linked with numerous quality players and one of them is French international Moussa Dembele.

The 23-year-old center forward plays for Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyon and the Red Devils have scouted him on multiple occasions in the current campaign (The Mail).

Transfer: Report – Man United have moved for £30.5million rated midfielder – Face competition

As per recent reports going in the media (The Daily Record), the Old Trafford club have contacted the former Fulham striker over a potential January transfer. It is mentioned that Dembele is eager to secure a move to Manchester United and Lyon believe that they can get around 80 million euros (£70million) from his sale.

On the other hand, The Mail have claimed that Man Utd do not want to panic buy and are prepared to wait for the right time to secure the signing of the ex Celtic star.

Under the management of Solskjaer, United have only scored 11 goals in as many games this term and that goals to game ratio is just not good enough. Not to forget, in the last five games in all competitions, the 20-time English champions only managed to find the net twice.

So, it is evident that the fallen giants need to sign a prolific goalscorer in the winter transfer window, especially after not replacing Lukaku in the summer.

As far as Dembele is concerned, he has proved his worth in the Championship, in the Scottish Premierhship and now, he is doing good in the French League as well. This season, so far, he has netted 6 goals in 8 Ligue 1 appearances.

Will he be able hit the ground running in the Premier League if he joins Manchester United? Only time will tell.
