Manchester United have only earned 6 points in four PL fixtures this season and already they are 6 points behind league leaders and arch rivals Liverpool.
If Jose Mourinho fails to turn things around at Old Trafford then it will not come as any surprise to see a new manager at the club very soon.
Three time CL winning boss, Zinedine Zidane, is heavily linked with the Red Devils. He has got an impressive CV and could be the one to replace Mourinho.
According to Mirror Sport, the French boss wants to sign more than a few quality players for Manchester United and one of them is German international Toni Kroos.
The former Bayern Munich star won major prizes with Real Madrid with Zidane in charge and he is one of the best midfielders in the world, who would largely improve United. Kroos is not linked with the PL giants for the first time. Last year, Mirror Sport reported that Mourinho wanted to lure the superstar.
Last season, the 28-year-old star featured in 43 games for the La Liga club, scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists. As far as the World Cup is concerned, he did score a goal in the competition but overall, like the entire German team, Kroos was below average.
His current contract with the Los Blancos will expire in 2022 and at the moment, he earns around £346,000-a-week (BBC via AS).
