Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Man Utd boss

Manchester United have been linked with several proven quality players but there are youngsters in the lime light as well and the latest name in the focus is Thiago Almada.

Two days back, Manchester Evening News revealed that the Red Devils admire the player and have him on their radar but mainly as a back-up target.

However, the latest reports coming from Spain are contrasting.

Transfer: From Spain – Man Utd made £125million move to sign star

According to Todo Fichajes, the Old Trafford club are very close to reaching an agreement to hire the services of the 19-year-old playmaker.

The Spanish outlet have mentioned that talks are well advanced with Velez Sarsfied and the Premier League club are confident that they will be able to secure the signing of the starlet.

The teenage sensation has already played 46 times for the South American club. In the 2018-19 season, he started 7 times in the league and directly contributed in 5 goals.

As far as the 2019-20 campaign is concerned, Almada started 13 games in all competitions, scored 5 goals and also provided 2 assists. For the national team, so far, he has made 7 appearances for the U-20 Argentina team and scored 1 goal.

As per Transfermarkt, the youngster is a versatile talent, who has played in multiple offensive positions. Mainly, he is a CAM but Velez have also deployed him on the flanks and even as a striker when needed.

His current contract with the Argentine club will expire in 2023 and as per Ole, his release clause is worth 22 million euros (£20million).

United lack quality and consistent stars in the attacking third, therefore, primarily, we should sign a proven quality attacker first. Someone like Sancho would be brilliant.

In your view, who should Solskjaer lure to improve things up front?
