Manchester United have mainly been linked with Bruno Fernandes but a young central midfielder has also been in the lime light recently.

A week back, Mirror Sport reported that Man Utd made an offer of £12.5million to sign Jude Bellingham and are favorites to capture the Birmingham City starlet.

If the latest reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils have now doubled their offer to £25million in order to secure the signing of the 16-year-old midfielder.

Yesterday, renowned journalist, Duncan Castles, covered a report on The Daily Record and claimed that the Old Trafford club have offered £25million to hire the services of the talented.

Castles, who also writes for The Times, said that the offer for Bellingham has been run side by side with the attempts to lure Bruno Fernandes as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to improve his central/attacking midfield.

Bellingham is going to turn 17 in June and the youngster has already become a regular starter under the management of Pep Clotet. This season, he has featured in 24 games in all competitions (18 starts) and directly contributed in 4 goals (3 goals and 1 assist).

Mainly, the teenage sensation is a creative central midfielder but he can play out wide in the midfield and even as a CAM if required.

Solkskjaer does lack quality and depth in the center of the park after not strengthening the department in the summer. To make matters worse, two first team midfielders in the form of McTominay and record signing Pogba are currently out injured.

In your view, if Bellingham does end up moving to Old Trafford at such a young age, would he be able to get regular starts under Solskjaer?

  1. Glazers and Woodward leave Utd as soon as possible. We need players that can go straight into the first team, how many have we got so far and how many days are there to the end of January. You honestly think with what we have at the moment theres any chance of us getting into the European cup lol lol
