According to reports from the Daily Mail, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is ready to sell Marouane Fellaini in order to pave the way for the arrival of Fred to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho is certainly a keen admirer of Marouane Fellaini’s abilities but with the midfielder not yet signing a new deal at Old Trafford, there has been widespread speculation that he could well be on his way out of Old Trafford in the foreseeable future.
Recently, claims have been made that Turkish side Besiktas are very keen on acquiring the services of Fellaini during the January transfer window and a bid of around £8million could persuade the Red Devils to part with the Belgian international.
Now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, United have already agreed a fee with Besiktas over the transfer of Fellaini and Mourinho is believed to have sanctioned the sale of the ex-Everton man in order to facilitate the arrival of Fred to Old Trafford.
Fred is currently plying his trade for Shakhtar Donetsk and has impressed for the Ukrainian side since joining the club from Internacional back in 2013.
Mourinho is believed to be a fan of Fred and it has been claimed that the Red Devils’ boss will now look to swoop for the Brazilian international after making space in the squad by sanctioning the departure of Fellaini.
