Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Man Utd boss

The transfer saga involving Manchester United and Harry Maguire has dragged on for far too long.

However, if reports in the media are anything to go by then it looks like that the player is finally moving to Old Trafford.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to welcome £82million forward – Move close

According to multiple reports going on in the media, Man Utd have finally agreed a fee with Leicester City to secure the signing of the 26-year-old star.

According to The Telegraph and The Mail, the two clubs have agreed a mammoth deal of £85million for the Three Lions star.

As per to The Guardian, the center back himself asked the Foxes to leave the club and has now agreed a five year contract with the 20-time PL champions.

Maguire will now become the most expensive defender in the history of the game taking over Virgil van Dijk, who signed for Liverpool for £75million (The Guardian) in the winter transfer window of 2018.

Van Dijk went to Liverpool and completely transformed their defense. The Dutch international deservedly won the PFA Player of the Year award last term and was impressive in Liverpool’s Champions League triumph as well.

Our back-line consistently leaked goals in the last campaign mainly due to the absence of a commanding central defender. I hope Maguire has what it takes to solve the defensive conundrum at Old Trafford.

Do you think Maguire is as good as Van Dijk?
