Man Utd moved in with bid to sign £38million playmaker – Face competition

Dejan Kulusevski Parma

Manchester United have been linked with Swedish international Dejan Kulusevski in recent weeks and the latest reports are intriguing.

Last month, Tutto Sport revealed that the Red Devils are after the Atalanta playmaker, who plays on loan for Parma and is valued at 45 million euros (£38million).

Transfer: Man Utd look to sign midfielder with £26million release clause – Face competition

This month, FC Inter News exclusively revealed that Man Utd moved in with a bid worth 25 million euros to sign the 19-year-old in January, however, the proposal was turned down by Atalanta president Antonio Percassi.

The Italian source have mentioned that Inter Milan are competing with the Old Trafford club to hire Kulusevski in the winter transfer window. On the other hand, the likes of Liverpool and Juventus are looking to lure the youngster in the summer.

Yesterday, famous La Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist, Nicolo Schira, tweeted that last week, the Red Devils and the Nerazurri met the player’s representative and want to secure signing in January.

So, if reports in the Italian media are anything to go by then United’s interest in the Serie A winger seems genuine.

The versatile attacker, who mainly plays on the right wing, has featured in 14 league games so far in the current campaign, scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists for Parma.

He made his senior international debut last month in a contest against Faroe Islands (UEFA Euro 2020 qualification game). Sweden won the fixture 3-0 and the teenager featured for 25 minutes in the second half.

At Old Trafford, Daniel James is the first choice right winger and the Welsh international has been a quality signing for us. However, we have not replaced Sanchez as yet and do not have depth in the wide attacking positions.

In your view, is Dejan Kulusevski good enough to improve Man United’s offense?
