Tottenham and Manchester United are linked with Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes if reports in the media are anything to go by.

According to A Bola (via Sport Witness), Man Utd and Spurs are the two most interested clubs, who want to hire the services of the Sporting CP attacking midfielder.

Transfer: Man Utd plan to speed up things to sign £68million playmaker – Report

The famous Portuguese source have claimed that the Lions are looking to increase the wages of the 25-year-old but the termination clause would remain unchanged at 100 million euros. It is mentioned that there is a strong possibility that the player will leave in January.

A Bola have further mentioned that a fee of 70 million euros (£60million) could be enough to secure the signing of the Seleccao star.

The former Udinese attacker was in red hot form for the Primeira Liga club in the last campaign. In all competitions, he made 53 appearances and directly contributed in no fewer than 50 goals (32 goals and 18 assists). A top quality striker would be proud of such stats.

Fernandes helped his club win two Cup titles and he was a key member of the Portugal national squad that won the inaugural UEFA Nations League competition few months back.

As far as the current season is concerned, so far, he has netted 9 goals and provided 6 assists in 17 appearances for Sporting.

Manchester United do lack quality and depth in their attacking department after letting Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez join Inter Milan in the summer transfer window. So, they should sign a top class attacker in January and Fernandes completely fits the bill.

We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in January.
