Manchester United have been heavily linked with Norwegian striker Erling Haaland. On regular basis, reports have suggested that the Old Trafford club want to hire the services of the in-form goalscorer.
A week back, Goal.com revealed that the Red Devils are ready to spend big on the 19-year-old, who could cost around £85million.
Moreover, a similar claim was made by The Times few days back. They reported that the Old Trafford club are prepared to make a move to sign the teenage sensation in January and a bid worth more than £60million could be enough to secure his signature.
More recently, The Telegraph have claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to improve his attack in the winter transfer window and the Red Devils, who have money for the New Year, are expected to make an offer to lure the RB Salzburg star.
The British source have further claimed that Manchester United are confident that Haaland’s preference is to move to Old Trafford.
The youngster has scored 27 goals and provided 7 assists in just 19 games in all competitions so far for the Austrian club this term. He has already netted five hat-tricks in the current campaign.
In this year’s Champions League, currently he is the second highest goalscorer with 8 goals, 2 goals behind Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.
Not to forget, Haaland has only started 3 games in the Europe’s elite competition and in the last fixture vs Genk away from home, he only featured for 28 minutes and still manged to score a goal and provide an assist.
Solskjaer’s men have only managed to score 19 goals in 13 PL games this season and they really need to lure an out and out center forward soon. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in January.
