According to reports from Calcio Mercato, Manchester United are plotting a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a potential replacement for Marouane Fellaini.
It is very clear to see that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Marouane Fellaini and the Portuguese manager has certainly gotten the best out of the towering midfielder over the past few seasons.
As a result, it was widely believed that United would be looking to extend Fellaini’s stay at the club by offering him a brand new contract but as a shock for the Red Devils, the 29-year-old has not yet put pen to paper on a fresh deal at Old Trafford.
Claims have been made that Fellaini’s wage demands are much higher than what United are willing to pay and there is a strong possibility that the Belgian international could potentially be leaving Old Trafford during the upcoming January transfer window.
United are now said to be looking to find a replacement for Fellaini and according to reports from Calcio Mercato, the Premier League giants are currently planning a swoop for Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Savic has been linked with United in the past as well and with Fellaini likely to be departing from Old Trafford, manager Jose Mourinho is said to be recently ramping up his pursuit for the 22-year-old who can be signed for a hefty amount of around £70million.
