Arsenal and Man United face-off to sign $60-million-rated attacker: report

Arsenal have made a bid for Manchester United target and Bordeaux star Malcom, according to reports from the Metro.

Manchester United have been interested in the signature of Bordeaux attacker Malcom for some time now, with manager Jose Mourinho desperate to bring the 20-year-old to Old Trafford to reinvent United’s attack.

While United are very keen on recruiting the young forward, it is believed that the Red Devils are unwilling to pay Bordeaux’s asking price of around £44($60) million and as a result, the deal has hit a stalemate in recent weeks.

However, United will soon need to improve on their offer if they are to sign Malcom as reports from the Metro claim that Arsenal have joined in the pursuit of the talented Brazilian and are serious in their bid to sign the youngster.

Arsenal have allegedly identified the young attacker as the replacement for the outgoing Alexis Sanchez and as a result, the Gunners are prepared to pay Bordeaux’s asking price on the 20-year-old – which clearly is bad news for Manchester United.
