Report – Man United ready £84million move to sign superstar

Koulibaly and Skriniar

Manchester United are once again linked with Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly as they look to strengthen their back-line.

According to Corriere dello Sport, The Red Devils ready a move worth 95 million euros (£84million) to sign the Napoli superstar.

Transfer: Report – Man United told £31million will get signing done

Two days back, Corriere dello Sport reported that Real Madrid had made an offer of 90 million euros for the 27-year-old central defender. Now United are prepared to surpass that offer made by the Los Blancos but it seems that it is still not going to be enough.

The Italian outlet have mentioned that the Old Trafford club are repeatedly trying and desperately raising the offer to unsettle the Naples based club but that is not going to help. It is stated that the player has a release clause of 150 million euros and United can only proceed to sign him once they have matched that figure.

In our defensive setup, we desperately need a leader to solve the on-going crisis. United conceded 54 goals in the last league campaign and we can forget about winning anything if we do not solve the dilemma at the back.

Solskjaer needs to act like Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. The German manager knew that Van Dijk would be the one to improve the shaky back-line at Anfield. He failed to lure him in the summer transfer window of 2017 but in January 2018, the Reds broke their transfer record to finally secure him.

Now, the Dutch star has won the PFA POTY award and helped his team win the Champions League. It will not come as any surprise if he wins the Ballon d’Or as well.

So, if our Norwegian manager firmly believes that Koulibaly is the man, who can fix our defensive problems then the club should break their transfer record, meet Napoli’s asking price and get the signing done.

The African star has been the most consistent defender in the Italian league over the years. He is the only defender to have featured in the Serie A Team of the Year in the past three campaigns.
