Manchester United reportedly battle with Everton for goalkeeper

According to reports from the Sun, Manchester United and Everton are currently involved in a battle to sign Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jake Turner.

Manchester United have made it a habit of splashing the cash to sign readymade world class players rather than focus on their tradition of promoting youngsters into the first team in recent times but nonetheless, the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard does provide hope that the Red Devils have not completely turned a blind eye on talented young players.

Now in a rare transfer speculation linking United with an obscure talented youngster, the Sun have claimed that the Premier League giants are currently eyeing up a move for Bolton Wanderers prospect Jake Turner.

Turner is a highly-rated goalkeeper who has been handed a full-time contract by Bolton and the 18-year-old has been touted for a big future in the game.

According to the Sun, United have been tipped off by some of the FA coaching staff about the quality of the England Under-18 international and the Red Devils are currently believed to be in a battle with Everton to sign the youngster.
