One In One Out For United In £120 Million Transfer Merry-go-Round

One of the most disappointing aspects of the season so far for many United fans has been the underwhelming form of a certain Argentinean winger. After an explosive start for the Reds which had the Old Trafford faithful whispering quietly about the days of a beloved Portguese starlet, Angel Di Maria’s reign as the team’s explosive match winner has eroded into a role of almost insignificance. To be fair to the Red’s record signing, he hasn’t been helped by an attempted burglary at his home which has no doubt gone some way to unsettling the former Real Madrid maestro.

The latest reports indicate that Di Maria has had enough of poor performances, red cards and attempted break-ins during his brief Old Trafford career and has already indicated to his agent he’d like a move away in the Summer. Europe’s elite are reportedly queueing up to sign the £59 million star, whose reputation hasn’t been diminished too badly by his patchy recent form.

PSG, Barcelona and more pertinently Juventus are said to be interested in the Argentinean and there’s every chance United may be willing to accomodate a swap deal with one player in particular, constantly linked to a return to Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba has been named as a United target with a price tag of around the £60 million mark being suggested. Should Juventus really covet Di Maria, then a deal could be made which sees the two players exchanging clubs once the transfer window opens. Watch this space….
