Club prepared to offer £75million playmaker to Manchester United

Bale Pogba

Manchester United are once again linked with Welsh international and Real Madrid playmaker Gareth Bale.

Last month, Mirror Sport exclusively revealed that the the Los Merengues value the former Totteham Hotspur star at £75million and the Red Devils are planning to lure him on loan.

Now, Marca have claimed that Real Madrid are very keen to offer Bale to Manchester United in a deal to sign Paul Pogba.

Transfer: Man Utd seem favourites, would be ready to offer £36million to secure signing

The renowned Spanish outlet have stated that Madrid’s priority is to lure the Les Bleus midfielder, who wants to leave Old Trafford and will soon submit a transfer request.

So, the Los Blancos want to send their record signing to us in order to lure our record signing. In all fairness, if Pogba does end up handing in an official transfer request, then Solskjaer should get rid of him.

For a record signing, the French star has been highly inconsistent. Look at Liverpool’s record capture Virgil van Dijk. The Netherlands international had a world class first full season with the Anfield club, he deservedly won the PFA Player of the Year award and was brilliant in their Champions League triumph as well.

If Pogba is sold then he must be adequately replaced by luring a top quality midfielder. On the other hand, as far as Bale is concerned, on his day, the Welsh star can single-handedly win games. Not to forget, he scored decisive goals in two Champions League finals.

The main issue over the past few years is that Bale is injury prone – View his injury history at Transfermarkt.

Also, it must be taken into consideration that so far, Solskjaer has focused on investing in youngsters (James and Wan-Bissaka) and Bale is going to be a veteran soon. On July 16, he will turn 30.

In your view, should United sell Pogba to lure Bale?

  1. Yes…i really think its a good deal, the French midfielder has lost the interest and enthusiasm to play for Man utd. He wants to move on. Bale is a great footballer. The injury this is another problem though, we wouldn’t want another Sanchez on our team, but i still think its a good deal.
