Manchester United star Paul Pogba is linked with a move away from Old Traffor and if he leaves, then Solskajer should adequately replace him in the summer transfer window.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the French international’s desired destination is Real Madrid and the Red Devils are prepared for his departure.
The Spanish source have stated that United could move to sign Coutinho and Rakitic from Barcelona if Pogba leaves.
The Brazilian international was a superstar at Anfield but since moving to the Catalan giants, he has been highly inconsistent. Recently, the former Inter Milan playmaker himself admitted that he did not play well (Marca).
Still, he is a proven Premier League player, he scored a sublime goal against United and he has the ability to play effectively in the attack and also in the midfield.
Yesterday, Sky Sports News reported that the Samba star will not move to United out of respect for his former club Liverpool. So, it might not be possible for United to lure him if he does not want to tarnish his reputation at Anfield.
Barcelona do want to offload him and have slapped a price tag of (£89million) 100 million euros (Marca).
The Croatian international has proved to be a world class player over the years. He has won every major title with Barcelona and last year, hehelped his national team reach the final of the World Cup.
The only major issue in my view is his age. He will turn 32 next year and if United do lure him, then soon they could be looking for another midfielder. Solskajer should look to lure someone, who would serve the club in the long run.
As per Marca, Barca are looking to get around 50 million euros (£45million) from to sell the former Sevilla midfielder.
In your view, who should United sign if Pogba does end up leaving the club?
