Report – Man Utd in the battle to sign £30million midfielder in summer

Todd Cantwell Norwich City

Due to the ongoing crisis in the midfield department, Manchester United are linked with numerous midfielders and the latest name in the lime light is that of Todd Cantwell.

According to The Mail, Man Utd have entered the battle with Tottenham and Manchester City to hire the services of the English midfielder, who has been in top form for Norwich City this term.

Transfer: Report – £290,000-a-week star clearly wants to secure Manchester United exit

The British outlet have mentioned that the Red Devils have added the £30million-rated midfielder to their wish-list for the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old is a versatile talent, who can play in the attack as well but naturally, he is a left sided midfielder. In the current campaign, the youngster has so far started 17 times in the Premier League and directly contributed in 8 goals (6 goals and 2 assists) for the Canaries.

More importantly, he has been able to find the net against strong teams. He scored his first goal of the current campaign vs Chelsea. Few weeks later, the talented midfielder netted a crucial goal in Norwich’s brilliant victory over reigning PL champions Man City.

Cantwell did find the net vs Everton and Arsenal as well and in the last PL contest vs Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day, he scored in the fourth minute to give his side the lead

Only star striker Teemu Pukki has netted more goals (9 goals) for Daniel Farke’s team than Cantwell.

The Mail have talked about Man Utd’s injury concerns in the center of the park and we have done the same on this site several times, so, Solskjaer should really look to reinforce the midfield department this month instead of waiting for the summer.
