Argentine left-back Enzo Diaz has confirmed that Premier League giants Manchester United are keen on acquiring his services.
Luke Shaw has fallen well short of expectations since joining Manchester United from Southampton back in 2014 and with manager Jose Mourinho having lost patience with him; the 22-year-old is now widely expected to be leaving Old Trafford during the upcoming January transfer window.
The departure of Shaw will mean that United will have to recruit a new left sided defender this winter and a host of names have already been bandied about as potential targets for the Red Devils.
Now according to quotes carried out by Goal, Argentine left-back Enzo Diaz has gone on to claim that Manchester United are currently scouting him and opened up the possibility of swapping Argentino Agropecuario for Old Trafford in the foreseeable future.
“I found out about it on Saturday morning, but later I did not talk to anyone other than my agent,” he told Ataque Futbolero.
“My agent told me that they were delighted and they were going to see me in a couple more games. It is the dream of any footballer [to play for Manchester United]. However, I need to remain focused on what we are doing and enjoying this moment.”
