From Spain: Manchester United ready to offer De Gea plus £65m for Real Madrid superstar

Manchester United could reportedly be willing to sanction the summer sale of David de Gea to Real Madrid, should they receive Cristiano Ronaldo in a part-transfer agreement.

The Spain international has been in outstanding form for United this term with 20 clean sheets, whilst also making a number of world-class saves through the campaign.

As a result, the speculation over his future does not appear to seize, and Diario Gol have come up with an outlandish claim that the shot-stopper could be off to Los Blancos in a swap deal involving Ronaldo.

As per the report, Ronaldo is seemingly keen on a return to Old Trafford, similarly to the club, and a fee of around £65m plus De Gea could see the Portuguese make an emotional return.

Ronaldo’s splendid form during the second half of the season suggests that he has more to offer at the top level, but surely United won’t consider his comeback at De Gea’s cost.

De Gea has single-handedly secured positive results for United on multiple occasions this term, and the focus should be more on committing his long-term future to the club.

United boss Jose Mourinho has previously suggested that the club need to keep hold of their key players to make progress, and fans will hope that De Gea’s future is sorted out before this summer’s World Cup.

  1. Rubbish. It should read RONALDO + 65 MILL for DeGea. Degea still has at least 10 years at the top, whilst Ronnie may have seen his last good season this year. DeGea is irrepracable atm and must be our top priority signing of a new contract. TBH Ronnie is one of my fav players but against Juve this week, was constantly trying to cheat a way to a goal or foul flinging his arms up, not exactly my idea of a player Id like to see playing at OT.

  2. we need to keep degea because any swap with Ronaldo would be stupid he is at the end of a great career we need more yopung players not old ones
