Man Utd prepare to seal £84.8million signing after Casemiro – Report

Old-Trafford

Last night, Manchester United confirmed that a transfer agreement has been reached to hire the services of Casemiro from European Champions, Real Madrid.

With midfield reinforced, the Red Devils have to focus on the attacking department and reports suggest that they are preparing to break the bank to sign Antony.

Recently, Man United submitted a bid worth 85 million euros to lure the Brazilian international but it was turned down by Ajax, who demand 100 million euros (£84.8million).

Now, reports indicate that the Old Trafford outfit are preparing an offer that would meet the asking fee and finally seal the signing.

According to Foot Mercato, after getting Casemiro, Man Utd’s focus is to secure the Samba star.

The French news source claim that after getting their initial bid rejected, Man Utd are preparing to pay £84.8million (inclusive of bonuses) to bring the attacker from the Eredivisie giants.

It is stated that the amount is going to be close to the Dutch champions’ valuation of the player. Moreover, it is likely that the offer will be accepted as Ajax are already looking to sign a replacement for Antony.

Greenwood was United’s top-scoring right winger last season and with the Englishman unavailable, Ten Hag really needs to improve the position.

Antony proved to be a major hit in the Netherlands under the current OT boss and has started the new season in brilliant fashion as well.

If Man United do spend £84.8million, the 22-year-old will become the second most expensive signing in the club’s history? The question is, should they make such an offer?
