Confirmed Team: Lindelof starts, Jones on the bench, Man United Lineup vs. Benfica

Manchester United are trying to maintain a perfect record in the third round of Champions League against Benfica in Lisbon. Jose Mourinho decided to hand a start to centre-back Victor Lindelof, who arrived at Old Trafford this summer from the Portuguese giants.

Lineup:

Lindelof will start alongside Chris Smalling in the heart of the defence, while Phil Jones will begin the match off the bench. Daley Blind will take his place at the left-back and the captain Antonio Valencia is going to operate from the right flank. The gaffer benched Ashley Young who started last weekend at Anfield, and Juan Mata has taken his place on the right-wing. Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera are the holding midfielders, while the youngster Scott McTominay is included and will start on the bench.

Manchester United Starting Lineup: De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Blind; Matic, Herrera; Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford; Lukaku.

A potential victory tonight in Lisbon would put the Red Devils in a strong position for the remainder of the UCL group stage, while the hosts must attack and try to get three points to stay in the contention.
