Manchester United signed Rasmus Hojlund to improve their striking department in the summer but the Danish forward has only scored two goals in the Premier League thus far.
On the other hand, French international, Anthony Martial, has mostly spent time on the treatment table.
In such a situation, Man Utd have been looking to strengthen the attack and reports indicate they have been offered the chance to sign Hugo Ekitike from Paris Saint-Germain.
According to TEAMtalk, the 21-year-old forward has been offered to Man Utd and other Premier League sides, in a late deal this month, on loan until the end of the campaign.
However, due to financial concerns, it is reported that the move would not be feasible for the Red Devils.
Last season, Ekitike started 12 games in the Ligue 1 for PSG and directly contributed in 7 goals (3 goals and 4 assists).
In the summer, the French champions opted to break the bank on strikers like Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani and since then, the youngster has mostly been out of the squad.
This season, Ekitike, who earns around £115,000 a week, has only made a single appearance for PSG, that too for just eight minutes in the opening league game of the campaign.
Even after the arrival of new part owners, INEOS, Man Utd have been unable to strengthen their squad in the January and it seems that no new players will arrive before the closure of the winter window tonight.
