Manchester United have so far netted 16 goals in 5 games under the management of interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, so, they are doing good in the attacking front at the moment.
Still, if reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are looking to strengthen their offense by signing a top quality winger in the form of Yannick Carrasco.
According to Foot Mercato’s own information, Man Utd are ‘interested’ in signing the 25-year-old winger, who left Atletico Madrid last year to join Chinese side Dalian Yifang.
Transfer: £350,000-a-week Man Utd star determined to secure move away from OT
The Belgian international, who earns around £170,000-a-week (Mirror Sport), featured in 25 league games for the Chinese Super League side last season and directly contributed in 16 goals (7 goals and 9 assists). Still, Yifang had a poor campaign and finished 11th in the table with a GD of minus 20.
He was a regular starter at Atletico Madrid under Diego Simeone, so, it was a strange decision to move to China in his peak years. He has already featured 34 times for the senior national side and has the quality to improve any attack in Europe.
Carrasco can play on either flank, as a center attacking midfielder and also as an out and out striker. He has searing pace and acceleration and can strike the ball hard with both feet.
Mostly, he plays on the left wing, a position currently occupied at Old Trafford by Anthony Martial, who has been in brilliant form lately. Moreover, United also have Alexis Sanchez, who likes to play on the left flank.
So, at the moment, Man Utd do not really need a winger. However, as per reports, Sanchez wants to leave (El Gol Digital), and if he departs, then United should lure Carrasco as he has the quality to replace the Chilean star.
