£20m Star Prepares For United Move

Manchester United are preparing a £20m move for Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan according to the Daily Star.

Earlier this week Bild reported that Gundogan has reportedly chosen to leave Germany, with Old Trafford his preferred destination.

And with his contract due to expire in 2016, Dortmund may be forced to cash in on him this summer, especially as it looks like they will miss out on European football.

The 24 year old was an integral part of Dortmund’s 2012 double winning side and played a key role in the side that got to the 2013 Champions League final, scoring his sides only goal in their losing effort against Bayern Munich.

A back injury saw Gundogan spend over a year on the sidelines but back now, he is looking to get back to the form that saw him viewed as one of the best central midfielders in the game.

This season, as he continues to find his feet Gundogan has four assists and has scored two goals in 19 appearances.
