£25million player expected to sign for Man United in summer – Report

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

Manchester United were looking to sign a new right back in the summer transfer window. They were linked with the likes of Dest and Dumfries but failed to lure any.

If the latest reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are interested in hiring the services of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Sky Germany, Man Utd are expected to sign Firmpong in the next summer transfer window.

The news source have mentioned that it is becoming more and more clear the defender will move to Old Trafford.

It is reported that Frimpong is aware that the 20-time English champions are looking to secure his signature and he is open to a change next year.

The 21-year-old fullback’s current deal with the Bay Arena outfit will expire in the summer of 2025 and as reported by The Scottish Daily Mail today, he could be lured for a fee rising to £25million.

It has become evident that Erik ten Hag does not prefer Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the squad. In the current campaign, the English right back has only made one appearance and featured for just four minutes in all competitions.

The ex Crystal Palace player needs to leave Man Utd to play week in and week out. To replace him, a versatile RB like Frimpong would be ideal.

The Netherlands international has proved to be highly productive in the attacking third. This term, he has directly contributed in 8 goals (5 goals and 3 assists) for the German Bundesliga side.

He is part of the Dutch World Cup but is yet to make an appearance in Qatar. Have your say – Should Man United bid £25million to sign Jeremie Frimpong?
