3-4-1-2: Man Utd’s strongest possible starting XI vs Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Chelsea have been in top form under the management of Thomas Tuchel and they will look to earn all three points vs Man United to push for top four.

The Red Devils are already 13 points behind Man City in the Premier League table and anything but a win would surely end their title challenge. Who will come out on top?

As far as the team news is concerned, Solskjaer has to deal with several key injury concerns and might be without McTominay and Cavani.

So, I think the Norwegian should utilize the three at the back with Wan-Bissaka and Shaw playing in the wing-back roles to support the defense.

The likes of Lindelof, Bailly and captain Maguire could start in the bacline for Man Utd in front of David De Gea.

In the central midfield, Brazilian star Fred could partner Serbian veteran Nemanja Matic. In front of the midfield duo, Portuguese playmaker, Bruno Fernandes, must start in the No. 10 role.

As far as the strike-force is concerned, Mason Greenwood must start with Marcus Rashford. Here is Man Utd’s strongest possible 3-4-1-2 XI vs Chelsea:

  1. The line up looks good only if we can attack and avoid defensive approach.
Chelsea is not too fantastic, we can take all three points, if we can avoid not taking our chances.
Martial is still important in the team but let him start from the bench.

  2. Man.Utd lack consistency. Except for Daniel James and sometimes Rashford and most of the time Maguire and Bruno doing their best, all the others are sometimes switching off that same momentum they played in one or two games. What happened Mctomminay and Luke Shaw who run forward with the ball. They need players like Jadon Sancho or Halland but if they do not succeed in their No.1 target, then there are very exciting players like Tarore from the Wolves who can break strong teams by their challenging speed of playing. They even lack confidence from what we saw today. Many wrong passes, they tackle the ball and at once lose the ball so very quickly. Even Fred was trying his best.
