3-4-2-1: Man Utd’s strongest possible XI vs Tottenham

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Since the appointment of Jose Mourinho, Spurs have won all their games so far and next up, they visit Old Trafford to face a struggling Manchester United team.

Solskjaer has so far done a miserable job after becoming United’s permanent boss and if the former manager returns to beat us in our own backyard then the Norwegian manager should be shown the exit door.

As per reports (The Sun), the 46-year-old has already told his players that he will be sacked if they lose to Tottenham and Man City.

As far as the team news is concerned, Solskjaer has mainly used the 4-2-3-1 formation this season but against strong teams, he has opted the three at the back setup. So, we can expect United to start with a 3-4-2-1 formation.

In that setup, Tuanzebe could return to start with Maguire and Lindelof in the defense in front of Spanish goalie, De Gea. The likes of Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw should start in the wing-back positions.

As far as the midfield is concerned, Pogba and McTominay are still doubtful for the game against Spurs (MEN), so, we can expect Fred and Pereira to start again in the center of the park.

In the attacking third, the likes of James and Rashford could start in wide attacking positions behind lone center forward Anthony Martial.
