Hazard and Morata start, 3-4-2-1: Predicted Chelsea XI to face Manchester United

Eden Hazard Manchester United

Manchester United face-off against Chelsea in Sunday’s Premier League showdown at Old Trafford. Both sides come into the game in an indifferent run of form in the top-flight, but the United faithful will expect a strong performance with the home advantage to boost.

Here’s how Chelsea could lineup…..

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Lineup:

Thibaut Courtois has been the undisputed choice between the sticks for Chelsea, similar to David de Gea, and the Belgian is expected to start in goal. Antonio Conte has stuck with the combination of Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen in defence of late, and the Italian is likely to stick with the trio, given Gary Cahill in a poor vein of form.

Likewise, Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso are pretty much the preferred picks in the right and left wing-back spots respectively, we are not expecting any changes in the positions. With Tiemoue Bakayoko still sidelined, Conte is likely to bank on the experience of Cesc Fabregas, and the former Arsenal man is likely to partner N’Golo Kante, who is regarded as the powerhouse in the Blues’ midfield.

Further forward, Eden Hazard and Willian are among the in-form wingers in the Blues’ ranks, and they are likely to feature on the left and right side of the attack respectively with Alvaro Morata probably getting the nod over Olivier Giroud upfront, due to his added mobility on the pitch.
