28-Goal Superstar Targets to Return in October

According to The Sun, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be playing first-team football for Manchester United as early as October. The big Swede is making rapid progress from his knee injury.

The 35-year-old was a huge hit during his first season at Old Trafford last term as he contributed 28 goals in 46 appearances. A nasty knee injury dented his chances of ending the season on a high note, but he has, however, inked a one-year deal with United after showing positive signs while recovering at
the club’s Carrington base.

As per The Sun, Jose Mourinho could have the services of Ibrahimovic ahead of his side’s crunch league game against Tottenham Hotspur on October 28. Summer signing Romelu Lukaku has been in splendid form with three goals in just two league outings, but the Swede still remains a key player for the Special One, who aims to compete across all four competitions.

Manchester United have been in sublime touch this term with convincing 4-0 victories over both West Ham United and Swansea City, and they will seek to continue this streak against Leicester City, although the East Midlands club possess a threat on the counter attack.
