Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will hope to maintain the club’s momentum at the top of the table when they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday. The Red Devils earned an easy 4-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League opener, and the manager is likely to stick with the same formation versus the Welsh outfit.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Lineup:
David de Gea is a definite starter in goal. Antonio Valencia captained his side well during the emphatic win over West Ham, and he will take up his regular position on the right side of the defence. Summer signing Victor Lindelof is expected to be eased into the United lineup, and he could miss out on the matchday squad once again. In his absence, the ever-impressive Eric Bailly is likely to partner Phil Jones in central defence with Daley Blind getting the nod for the left-back spot.
Paul Pogba looked more comfortable with Nemanja Matic alongside him last weekend. The ex-Chelsea midfielder bossed the game with one of his best Premier League displays. Playing away from home, Mourinho could replace Juan Mata with Ander Herrera in his lineup, letting Pogba settle for a slightly advanced role.
Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace in his home league debut for United, and this has taken his tally to three goals in just two competitive appearances. The Belgian is a definite starter up front with Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan likely to retain their places on the left and right wing respectively.
