Ivan Perisic is hoping that he will not be the part of Inter’s pre-season squad that is ready to fly to China on a tour as he is awaiting a deal to Man United to be done.
Perisic returned to Milan yesterday after receiving a tooth abscess treatment in Croatia, but he has his mind-set on joining Man United’s US tour instead of going to China with Inter. The Red Devils are expected to seal the deal for the Croatian winger worth of £39.5, but it could rise to £44 million with add-ons.
The 28-year-old former Wolfsburg player posted an intriguing message with a praying emoji next to a plane taking off on Instagram on Monday but quickly deleted it afterward. The message suggested that he hopes to skip Inter’s trip to China and join Man United. The Red Devils’ executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is in London to conclude a deal with Inter, but at the moment, no agreement between the clubs took place.
Jose Mourinho is still chasing Nemanja Matic, Eric Dier, and Radja Nainggolan and Woodward will try to bring one of them to Old Trafford, but their respective teams are playing hardball over transfers, so Perisic seems to be the most realistic target right now.
