46-goals-in-63-games star opens up the possibility of a move to Manchester United

As reported by Team Talk, Manchester United target Dries Mertens has admitted that he could move to the Premier League in the near future.

Dries Mertens has arguably been one of the most prolific attacking players in Europe over the past few seasons and his recent record of 46 goals in just 63 appearances for Napoli over the last 18 months or so, is nothing short of sensational.

Given his wonderful record, Mertens has unsurprisingly attracted the interest from a host of clubs across Europe and Premier League giants Manchester United have been strongly touted to make a move for the Belgium international in the near future.

Now as a huge boost to United’s hopes of acquiring the services of Mertens, the 30-year-old has gone on to speak regarding his future and admitted that he is looking into the possibility of making a move to England.

The attacker was quoted saying by Team Talk, “I’m happy in Italy and I’m fine at Napoli, but maybe in the future I could come to England.”

Mertens is not getting any younger but his goalscoring record has improved with maturity and he could well prove to be a good signing for United, especially given their recent struggles in finding the back of the net.
