£48.5m Manchester United target asked about his future

Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic was reportedly asked about his future while in a restaurant with teammate Stevan Jovetic and agent Fali Ramadani. Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho had underlined the Croatian as one of his top targets for the summer, but unfortunately, the club have not been able to reach an agreement for his services.

The Special One was initially hoping to take pursue Perisic on the cheap with Inter Milan having had to comply with the Financial Fair Play requirements. However, the Nerazzurri managed to overcome their predicament by selling off their fringe players, and they are now in a strong position to keep hold of the winger.

Inter Milan are currently holding for a fee of around £48.5m for the attacker and this has stalled talks over a proposed deal with Mourinho reluctant to offer Anthony Martial on loan to reduce the overall valuation. Premium Sport had doorstepped Perisic in a restaurant last week, and when quizzed about his future, he said h/t M.E.N:  “I am here to eat”.

Meanwhile, teammate Jovetic refused to lay his opinion on the speculation seated alongside Ramadani, who was supposedly in Manchester yesterday – speaking with United representatives. Jose Mourinho has done good business with the signings of Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, and there could be a couple more arrivals with Paris Saint-Germain Serge Aurier having recently agreed to personal terms.
