£50million star wants to join Manchester United this summer

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose wants to join Manchester United.

With Luke Shaw having failed to impress, it is no secret that Manchester United are currently in the market to sign a new left-back and Tottenham star Danny Rose has consistently been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent times.

To further add fuel to the speculation touting Rose with a move to United, the player himself went on to hint that he is currently not happy at Tottenham due to his low wage package and added that he is open to a move from London to the north of England.

As a result, the possibility of Rose joining United has been apparently boosted and now respected Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has gone on to claim that the England international now wants to join either the Red Devils or defending Premier League giants Chelsea.

“There are three weeks of the window left. We have to start at Spurs. Big news coming out of Spurs this morning – Danny Rose is not sitting on the fence at all,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News on Thursday.

“In an interview with the Sun, he says time is running out for him to win trophies, he wants Spurs to sign more top-class players. What about his own future? He hasn’t asked to leave but we’re told he wants to join either Chelsea or Manchester United if Spurs are prepared to let him go.

“Tottenham’s position is very clear – Rose is not for sale, especially because they’ve already sold right-back Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50m this summer.”

The signing of Rose would surely be a good addition to the United squad but Tottenham will, in probability, demand in excess of £50million for the ex-Sunderland man, considering Kyle Walker left the club this summer in a similar deal.
