According to The Sun, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for a center back to partner skipper Harry Maguire, the most expensive defender in the world.
In such a scenario, Kounde could secure a move to Man Utd to strengthen their backline. However, the well known British source claim that the Old Trafford outfit face serious competition to hire his services.
It is reported that Spanish giants like Barcelona and reigning La Liga champions, Real Madrid, are also interested in signing the £60million-rated star.
The 22-year-old star was a key member of the Sevilla side that won the Europa League last season. The French defender featured in 9 games in the competition, helped his team keep 6 clean sheets and conceded just 4 goals.
As far as this season is concerned, so far, in 18 starts he has helped Lopetegui’s side keep 10 clean sheets. The Andalusian club currently occupy the final Champions League qualification spot and they have won the last four league games without conceding a single goal.
In the Copa Del Rey, Sevilla are yet to concede a single goal in 6 games and the former Bordeaux center half, whose current contract will expire in 2024, has played in every fixture thus far.
In your view, should Man Utd offer £60million to secure Jules Kounde in the summer transfer window?
