Manchester United have been linked with Turkish international and AC Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu lately but the latest reports are intriguing.

Today, The Athletic have revealed that the 26-year-old, who will be available for free in the summer of 2021, has been offered to Man United by his representative.

However, the renowned source have claimed that the Red Devils have made their decision and made it clear that they are not interested in signing the 50-capped international because they have ample quality and depth for the No. 10 role.

Calhanoglu has started 8 games in all competitions for the Serie A leaders this season and directly contributed in as many goals (4 goals and 4 assists). However, Man United do not need him at all.

Currently, their first choice central attacking midfielder is Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes. The Seleccao star left Sporting CP to move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window and since then, he has arguably been the best player under the management of Solskjaer.

On the other hand, in the summer transfer window, the 20-time English champions splashed the cash to lure another CAM in the form of Donny van de Beek.

Over the years, the Dutch international has mainly played in the central midfield but in the past two years for Ajax, he mostly played in the No.10 role behind the striker.

At Old Trafford, Solskjaer has not tried him out in the center of the park and as far as the CAM position is concerned, Fernandes is irreplaceable. Therefore, the ex Eredivisie man has mainly warmed the bench since moving to the Red Devils.

In your view, who should Man United sign to improve their squad in the winter transfer window?
