€100million Move Could Happen — United Submit Record Deal to Sign Superstar

Manchester United have reportedly lodged a formal offer to sign Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale. The Wales international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford all summer amid the uncertainty over his future at the Bernabeu.

Spanish publication Don Balon claims that United have made a club-record £92m(100 million euros) move for Bale with Mourinho looking to add a world-class winger to his ranks prior to Thursday’s transfer deadline. The report adds that the European champions could be inclined to accept the offer as Zinedine Zidane can not assure Bale of a regular spot in his starting lineup.

Marco Asensio has done tremendously well since the second half of the previous campaign, and Los Blancos are keen to offer him more opportunities in order to convince him to sign a new fresh long-term deal.

Earlier this month, Mourinho admitted that it was game-over in the pursuit of Bale after he featured in Los Blancos’ 2-1 triumph over United in the European Super Cup. But, it appears that United still stand a chance of landing their long-term target with Los Blancos mulling over the proposed package.

Manchester United remain the only Premier League club with a 100 percent record after securing resounding wins over West Ham United, Swansea City and Leicester City – conceding no goals in the process.
