Manchester United supporters showed their displeasure over the performance of Paul Pogba during the Red Devils’ 2-1 Champions League defeat at the hands of Sevilla on Tuesday night.
The France international only came off the bench at the hour mark, and his failure to make an impact in a positive sense triggered more frustration among the Old Trafford faithful.
Pogba has struggled for form over the course of the past month, and his issues were clearly evident against the Andalusians as he could not string a few passes together in the opposition half.
Ben Yedder came off the bench and made instant impact for Sevilla.
Paul Pogba came off the bench and he looked like a farmer. He couldn't even make easy passes.
Abysmal performance.— Olaleye Dada (@olaleyedada) March 13, 2018
We looked significantly more secure when McTominay partnered Matic vs Liverpool. I know he’s not match-fit, but we actually deteriorated when Pogba came on. That’s the stage for him to shine at 0-0 on a big night. Keano would’ve hurt his own teammates on the pitch tonight #MUFC

I have no idea what’s going on with Pogba, but he looks a shadow of his former self. Can barely do anything right at the moment. Was dreadful when he came on.

Paul Pogba does not give a single toss. As soon as he goes through a sticky patch in his season he gives up. Who does he think he is? Piss off.

You watched it again? The images are still circling in my head giving me nightmares. I can't subject myself to it. You know what image hits me the hardest – the minute Paul Pogba came on. Man had no confidence whatsoever when he came on to the pitch. Scared me.

The defeat does not entirely relate to Pogba’s performance on the night, but as the club’s record signing, a player of world-class potential, he should have made the defining impact to change the complexion of the game in a positive note.
Earlier, there were suggestions that the Frenchman was desperate to play on the left side of a midfield three, but even that has not worked out for the 24-year-old, who has failed to contribute towards the attack since the January triumph over Stoke City.
As a result, there is the growing speculation of the midfielder being unsettled in Manchester, and this does not sound well in the supporter point of view, given Pogba is undoubtedly one of the world’s most exciting stars to watch in full flow.
Let’s not forget Mourinho’s attitude in this. He bought Mkhitaryan and then destroyed him as a player, he has bought Pogba and is doing the same to him, he has brought Sanchez in who is now destroying team harmony both on the field and off it. Is no one looking at the Mourinho effect? He does not think of United when he wants a player. Even his comments pre Saville match and post match should be enough for anyone to see what United mean to him.
