The transfer saga surrounding Joshua Zirkzee has dragged on for far too long and Man Utd are in the race to sign him.
According to Corriere di Bologna, the Dutch center forward is ‘destined’ to move to one of Man Utd, Milan, Juventus and Arsenal.
Transfer: Deal close – Man Utd set to agree terms with £173,000 a week man – Expert
The Italian media outlet have mentioned that the Premier League clubs have become ‘more active’ to sign Zirkzee after Sesko opted to sign an extension with RB Leipzig.
It is reported that the suitors like Man Utd can secure Zirkzee with a bid to meet both the release clause and the agent fees.
Zirkzee’s current deal has a termination clause of £33.8m (40 million euros), which is active for all clubs and easily achievable.
However, his representative, Kia Joorabchian, wants a commission fee of around £12.7m (15 million euros) for himself to allow the transfer.
Amidst the delay, Bologna want to take advantage and are ready to offer the striker a new deal worth 3.5 million euros per season, to remove the exit clause.
Moreover, they are also willing to pay 4-5 million euros commission to Joorabchian so that he can convince the 23-year-old to stay.
Bologna, Milan, Juventus and Arsenal can offer Champions League football to Zirkzee next season, but Man Utd will only offer Europa League football.
The former Bayern Munich starlet was not originally part of the Dutch squad for the Euros, but he got a late call up when Oranje suffered multiple injury concerns.
He was an unused substitute for the Netherlands in the opening group game versus Poland.
