According to The Times, Manchester United are becoming “increasingly annoyed” with agent Mino Raiola, whom they believe is meddling with Paul Pogba over the midfielder’s recent treatment.
United manager Jose Mourinho dropped Pogba in the Red Devils’ fifth round FA Cup clash with Huddersfield Town, although had to bring him on early into the game following an injury to Ander Herrera.
Pogba has been dropped this month in the Premier League, in between two appearances that saw him brought off in the second half, and Raiola is being blamed for meddling and putting ideas in his head.
The midfielder reportedly had a bust-up with Mourinho and has been telling the United manager where he wants to play, as his form has been inconsistent this season.
Understandably, Mourinho nor the club are happy with Raiola or Pogba, and the already-soured relationship could escalate as a result. Pogba only joined United in 2016, but his long-term future looks in doubt after a worrying second season at Old Trafford.
If Mourinho remains in charge next season, there could be problems with Pogba, so long as Raiola remains his agent. The 24-year-old is uncertain of his first-team place right now and things don’t look likely of immediately improving.
