Paul Pogba has dropped a hint that Thomas Lemar could make a future move to Old Trafford. The Monaco attacker played alongside Pogba in France’s 4-0 triumph over the Netherlands last night where he scored a brace for Les Bleus – including a stunning effort from outside of the box.
Pogba dubbed himself as ‘agent P’ earlier in July after he convinced close friend Romelu Lukaku to knock back advances from Chelsea in order to join United. He followed a similar act on social media following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return last month, and Pogba now appears to have turned his attention to his compatriot.
Lemar turned down a British record £92m move to Arsenal on transfer deadline day, and ‘Agent P’ has dropped a subtle hint that he could persuade the young forward to join Mourinho’s side, he wrote on Instagram: “Happy with yesterday’s result, working for the next goal.”
With the transfer window having come to a close, Mourinho’s prime focus will be on maintaining United’s early lead in the top-flight, but the availability of Lemar would surely be an enticing prospect for the future.
