Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson says that Manchester United will win the Premier League ‘comfortably’ should they keep up their form over the course of the season.
The Red Devils have won the first three games of the new Premier League campaign, and this has seen them gain a two-point advantage over their close rivals – prior to the international break.
Mawson was part of the Swans’ side that was blown away by the Red Devils’ attack earlier last month, and the centre-back is convinced that the Mancunian giants have the quality to become champions by some distance.
“The quality they possess – every single player, especially in the starting XI. The bench is quite frightening as well. They’ve got players that will go and win you games, win you titles, they’re just devastating. I’m personally tipping them to win the Premier League. If they carry on the form they’ve started the season with, they’ll win the title – and maybe comfortably,” he told Premier League Daily h/t Sky Sports News.
Jose Mourinho’s side managed less than two goals a game during the Premier League campaign, but the new season has brought a vast improvement with convincing 4-0 victories over both Swansea City and West Ham United.
Summer signings Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic have already made a huge mark on the club’s proceedings with Victor Lindelof probably being the only disappointment – although Mourinho has assured him a start in the Champions League opener against Basel.
