Varane-France

Manchester United are edging closer to hiring the services of Raphael Varane. The latest update coming from Spain today will delight the Old Trafford faithful.

According to AS (press image provided below), the French international’s move from Real Madrid to Man Utd is almost done.

Transfer: Report – Man Utd in contact with rep to sign £35million player – Face competition

The well-known Spanish media outlet have mentioned that Man Utd are very close to securing the signing of the player for a fee worth 50 million euros (£43million).

It is stated that initially, the Los Blancos were demanding a fee of 70 million euros for their prized asset but the Red Devils are prepared to sign him by offering 45 million euros in cash and 5 million euros in add-ons.

AS claim that the full agreement of £43million with regards to fee will be reached between the clubs soon and the transfer is expected to be completed in days.

Under Zidane, Real Madrid won every major prize with Varane and Ramos commanding the backline. The latter has already joined PSG and the former should (reportedly) move to Old Trafford soon.

The 28-year-old star has already won the World Cup with the national side. However, at the recently concluded European Championships, France were knocked out in the Round of 16, and the former Lens player was not in his best form.

Can he help Man Utd win the Premier League title next season? We shall see.
