According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are keen on a swoop for Manchester United defender Luke Shaw.
Shaw joined Manchester United from Southampton in the summer of 2014 for £30million, then a world record transfer fee for a teenager but the defender has not even come close to justifying his huge price during his time at Old Trafford so far.
Due to a combination of injuries as well as poor form, Shaw has failed to establish himself at United and with manager Jose Mourinho having lost faith in the 22-year-old, he looks all but certain to be departing from the club in the foreseeable future.
A number of clubs such as Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and even Fenerbahce have all been linked with a swoop for Shaw and now according to surprise reports from the Daily Mirror, claims are being made that the youngster is being courted by Arsenal at the moment.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen on acquiring the services of Shaw and if United can recoup majority of the £30million they splashed on the defender, the potential deal taking place will be well within the realms of possibility.
