Arsenal were interested in signing Marcus Rashford two years ago and now they are plotting a shock move to get the player, who signed a new deal at Old Trafford six months back.
Last season, the England international netted 30 goals in all competitions for Manchester United under the guidance of Erik ten Hag.
News – Man Utd can agree £50m+ deal for signing – Fee not an issue
In July 2023, he deservedly agreed a fresh new contract to become the highest earner at the club.
However, in the current campaign, Rashford’s form has been poor and he has netted just 4 goals in 26 appearances.
On the other hand, lately, discipline is also a problem as the player partied all night, called in sick for training and then missed the FA Cup game vs Newport.
In such a scenario, there are doubts about his future and according to Football Insider, Arsenal are plotting a shock move to sign him from Man Utd.
The news source have mentioned that the Red Devils would demand a fee way more than the £45million the Gunners were willing to offer in 2022.
Reports have indicated that Rashford is now valued at around £85million (100 million euros).
The north Londoners are currently fourteen points above Man Utd in the Premier League table and Ten Hag must not strengthen a rival side.
The Dutch manager punished Jadon Sancho for disciplinary concerns and loaned him out to Dortmund this month.
With regards to Rashford, Man Utd submitted an official statement indicating the disciplinary matter has been dealt with and closed.
Should the Three Lions star be punished as well? It will not come as any surprise if he is not in the starting XI against Wolves tonight.
In your view, should Man Utd sell Marcus Rashford to Arsenal?
