Report – Man Utd ready to submit irrefutable offer to sign £69million man

Another day, another report on the future of Frenkie de Jong, who does not want to play in the second tier of European Football (Europa League) next season.

After the UEFA Nations League game against Belgium, the Dutch midfielder commented that the position he plays for Netherlands fits him better as compared to Barcelona.

De Jong likes to play in the defensive midfield role but Barca have made it clear that captain, Busquets, will start in the position and the former Ajax man will have to adapt according to the coach’s game plan.

The Spanish news source have mentioned that the financial situation at the Nou Camp is not strong and the Dutchman is one of the most highly rated players in the squad.

It is stated that Man Utd are ready to make an irrefutable offer to sign De Jong and it would be taken very seriously by the Barcelona management, who can solve the delicate economic situation by selling the midfielder.

As far as the asking price is concerned, reports in Spain have suggested that the Blaugrana club could accept an offer of around £69million (Sport).

The Oranje star wants to stay and play in the Champions League under Xavi next term but he is aware that to raise funds, Barca may sell him.
