As reported by ESPN, Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial is statistically as good as Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard.
Anthony Martial has endured a bit of a stop start time at Manchester United since his arrival to the club from Monaco in the summer of 2015 and it seemed like the 21-year-old would be sold by the Red Devils last summer after failing to impress manager Jose Mourinho.
As it turned out, Martial stayed put at Old Trafford following United’s failure to acquire the services of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan and the Frenchman has certainly made the most of his chances during the current campaign.
Martial has scored 5 goals as well as made 6 assists in 9 appearances in all competitions for United this season and he has proven to be crucial in helping the Premier League giants enjoy a very strong start to their campaign.
Now according to ESPN, it has been proven Martial has statistically been as good as Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard as the Belgian international has scored 20 goals and recorded eight assists in 71 Premier League appearances over the past three seasons while in the same time, the United attacker has scored 18 goals and recorded 12 assists in 62 appearances.
Stats can be deceiving and Martial is clearly not in the same level as Hazard in terms of quality but there is no denying the fact that the young French international can go on to become a top class player in the foreseeable future.
