According to Mirror, Christian Pulisic has been told to join Liverpool instead of Manchester United, and his future looks bright given his rise to prominence at such a young age. Pulisic has scored and created five goals in 17 Bundesliga starts this season, having joined BVB from Pennsylvania Classics in January 2016.
Recently, the US international has rejected claims he’ll follow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the Premier League. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made the switch to the Premier League, joining Arsenal on deadline day last month, there has been a lot of talk that Pulisic could follow in his footsteps. The 19-year-old has played down exit talk, however.
“Of course, the Premier League is incredible, you never know what’s going to happen in football, but right now I’m totally focused on Dortmund,” he said to Sport1.
Manchester United and Liverpool will have to pay around £88m to land his signature, which means they might hold off making an approach just yet.
Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he won’t be strengthening the attack after signing Alexis Sanchez in January. Liverpool still have Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, so they might not go all out for Pulisic either.
